Prior to doing the Hertz HL70 mids, I experimented with some LaVoce mids (same basket, different cones). This pod also featured 3D printed grills that screw on. These mids were ok, but they had a noticeable amount of coloration when compared to the Hertz.
Been a few years. This car is still going strong. However, it has a new driver! My 16 yr old daughter is now using this as her daily at 220,000 miles. Still runs, rides, and sounds great. I swapped the speakers for some stuff I had laying around (Type R woofers, LaVoce mids, Hertz HT25 tweets) but the rest is the same. In spring, I'll start a new build on my new ride:
Welcome Back.!! Very Nice New Ride!! Im always intrigued and learning from your builds .This one should be another great one to follow as well. Looking forward to it
Thanks, guys. The new ride will be getting disassembled soon, now that it's warmer (yes, I drove it all winter).
I'll do my typical build log for the Camaro. Lots of measurements and data, with an initial budget upgrade with measurements and data to show how it behaves with a modest effort before putting what I like in.
My daughter managed to give the Accord a facelift - so it comes back from the shop in a few weeks with a new front end! Can't kill it, it still rocks. But she will be helping install different amps/speakers since the Hertz/JL will transfer to the Camaro.
