A couple more builds finished during down time due to the corona virus. One done for a buddy who wanted something for his small man cave. Needed it to be done for as cheap as possible as part of the goals along with being able to cover a wide range of frequencies so it would sound good for movies as well as music but didn’t have to be too loud.

I already had some Dayton sd270 dvc 10s I picked over a year ago open box for 20$ a sub. These subs like a BIG box. 4.0 cubic foot net @ 26 ish hz. Obviously this sub can’t move a ton of air but it has a nice fairly flat response in his room down to the tuning frequency.
For the mids and highs I went to the buyout section at parts express and got the 4ohm 6.5 6$ a driver and the t-25 paper tweeter @ 3$ a driver. Speakers are crossed @ 3.5k around 16$ in each 2way xover
For amplification Dayton 2.1 mini amp 80$

Counting the wood it’s just a tad over 200$ but could’ve used cheaper wood but I had most of it already and gave him a deal.

the outcome was very good considering price. Anyone would be hard pressed to buy anything for the same price with the same range and it actually gets fairly loud in his room.
The bookshelf speakers are .42 net. With poly fill they get pretty close to 80hz before rolling off.

Second build for personal use. Pretty much a toy. Tang band 6.5. .5 @35hz. Port 1x a tad over 7” This should be good for a near field application bedroom, computer etc. just got done last night 1st impression it has a very impressive response for its size and does a very nice job of filling in lows. Obviously not going to get that loud but there’s something cool about a sub this size playing well into the low 30s on a 50 watt amp at best

These little amp boards I got in today don’t look too bad for what they cost.
Wondom 4 channel. The way they rate these things is a little ridiculous. 108 watts x4 @4 ohms 10% thd. Pretty sure I don’t want to listen to 10% thd. But 64 watts at 1%. How it’s rated anyway

For the sub I’ll be using the sure (same company as the wondom)
200 watt mono amp. Same deal with the ratings 200 @10% 3 ohms 150 1% 3 ohms not sure why they rate it @ 3 ohms when it’s 2 ohm stable.
These will be going in my camper. I’ll be using a single din alpine hu for the source. 2 way active with Wavecor 4.5 mids and wavecor 30 mm tweeters and the little tang band 6.5 I just got done building. I’ll be adding another tb 6.5 soon. It’ll be interesting to hear how these little boards sound compared to the other board I’ve been using.
Just a simple way for anyone to add tunes to a garage, bedroom, computer, camper, boom box or whatever really for not a lot of $.

i’ve already been using this parts express 2.1 board in the garage for a while. it does pretty good on its own and sounds pretty good. Has some nice features like a high pass filter (6db @ 150hz)that can be turned off gain control for the sub and stereo channels. Adjustable crossover for the sub. Treble adjustment. Bluetooth and aux. Pretty cheap way to go. I have around 80 in the board and power supply. The sure amps build quality and packaging is better than the p.e. board. P.e. Just throw these boards in a really flimsy box with no protection. Reminded me of some of the skar packaging I’ve seen online before

sure mono amp.

Mostly done with my camper build just need a longer aux cable for the tv and tidy up the wires.
With a little car audio added to the mix. Ended up going with some smaller drivers because they fit a lot better
Dayton nd65 2.5” mids that actually extend bellow 80 hz in the enclosure. Wavecor 13 mm tweeters. They be some small azz drivers lol. They do pretty good in the camper though a 1000 times better than the factory set up. I have the outside speakers hooked to the hu that I can turn off and on as well.
