Yea his car is in Alabama black on black leather so it's definately drawing heat in the car. Amp is a 4 channel Rockford

So a buddy of mine has an issue with his amp where when he starts his car it goes into protect for a bout 5 minutes everytime and then is fine.. it's weird how it always takes. 5 minutes for it to come out of protect and when it does there's never an issue. What could that problem be?

I had a pair of alpine spr 68 they sounded pretty good for $100 I imagine the 69s sound the same

Yea it still goes in protect.. I can still here the subs playing low when it's in protect too

I have a budget but not super cheap just can't afford multiple hundreds of dollars I've heard good about that cab asweell

So the cheap amp I decided to buy went into protect mode already.. any ideas why did I fry it already? And what solid amps do you guys recommend without going way up in price
