    weird battery situation

Problem solved. Second battery reads 10.6v by itself. 🤦‍♂️ Was pulling amperage from the other 2 batteries.

    weird battery situation

I have 3 batts paralleled together. 1 under the hood, 2 in the trunk. Whether I use a charger or have the car running, the multimeter shows over 14v for the battery under the hood, but like 13.x for the batts in the trunk. The battery charger I have on boost mode, the battery under the hood...

Power Acoustic 2500 only blows 1fuse

probably got the gain turned waaay up. Also remember this is just a 2 ohm stable amp. Make sure your subs are wired for a 2 ohm load on the amp. Their website says it is capable of 650watts rms at 2 ohms, which may be truthful, I don't know, power acoustik is a known liar about their power...

Power Acoustic 2500 only blows 1fuse

need more information. Go into detail of how it's blowing a fuse, like under what conditions? While playing? As soon as you put in the fuse? Something else?

Can Someone Model Some Subs for Me?

I dont know. Ask Sundown why their sa10's model so peaky on winisd. Maybe they like it that way. 🤷‍♂️

Can Someone Model Some Subs for Me?

I used a sealed setup as a reference point. Compared to that, yes the ported box might be too big for 4 sa10's. However, I'm using a Ql factor of 1000, which means the box is completely lossless and doesnt leak air, which makes the predicted frequency response look very peaky. Tough call...

Can Someone Model Some Subs for Me?

i put the parameters in winisd. Actually, the box may be too big. 3.7cu/ft net with a 7x6.25 port dimension which equals 43.75in/sq. It is 22.25in long tuned to 33.95hz. compared to 4 sa10's in a 3.7cu/ft sealed box, the ported box is VERY peaky. At around 35hz you have well over 30-40ms group...

    Woofer basket construction

I think with high power handling subs, cast baskets are used to avoid "rippling" the basket at resonance frequencies, which can cause misalignment of the coil and motor slightly. I dont know how that affect the woofers though. I've never heard of a motor twisting so bad that the coil started to...

Anyone have experience with a 2004 ford expedition?

Yes they use voltage regulators. I dont know wtf is wrong with Ford alternators. When they go out, they do so in a weird fashion. I had a 2000 expo that had similar problems with the alternator. I had a major failure elsewhere in the suv and so it sat on the drive way for 4 months. Tried to...

Anyone have experience with a 2004 ford expedition?

looks like a bad voltage regulator. It aint supposed to be jumping around from 10-16v.

    ooohh nooooooo!

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM!🔊🔊🎶🔥 The loose panel screws were the problem. I added 4 more screws where they were needed and it solved the problem. No more horrendous box rattle. I'm glad it's not the subs. I've had those subs for nearly ten years and they never failed. Audiotechnix for the win.(y) I...

    ooohh nooooooo!

400rms is underrated. I've been putting 500-600 each full tilt for a couple weeks at half ohm and the coils still look nice.

    Subwoofer in a sewer enclosure

Talk about shakin' up the town.😄 How the fuk do you even explain this to somebody walking by?😂

    ooohh nooooooo!

I put three more screws into the baffle joining the two chambers together, thinking they may have come apart internally. It did not solve the problem. But then I realized, some of the screws that fasten the cover panel are free spinning. There's nothing for the screw to grip onto. I think the...

    ooohh nooooooo!

I should've when I had it out, but I was convinced it couldn't be the sub directly. The leak seems to be coming from the gasket. For all I know, that may have always been there but not been a problem. I'm trying to see if the box is the culprit, but I cant tell. The way the box was built, was...
