    Weak Bass

Maybe voltage loss? I always set my LFP to 80 and on steeper slope with no noticeable SPL loss. Playing a sine wave is a lot easier on your amp/voltage than regular music that has rapid bass because the amp has to use power to get the sub moving and even more power to get it to stop so fast and...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

Yea from what all I can see is that you have to make a crossover for the tweeter. I'm sure how how to do that. I'd really like to use these drivers they look pretty high quality and the spec sheet looks nice

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

Oh for sure I helped my buddy out together one of their glue and screw enclosures. Came packed nicely with everything. Unlike the D4S one I ordered, half the cuts were chipped and the terminal cup was crushed into a million pieces. I like the older stuff too. My 98 Cherokee is my daily and...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

That's what I was thinking. But unless I'm reading it wrong, you have to make your own crossover to the coaxial mounted tweeter? I dont see any mounted to the basket like usual

Not yet. I plan an ordering another box of kilmat and some CCF to decouple. In my 98 Cherokee I use the silicone baffles from Recoil. Kind of like the foam fast rings but muuuch better cause it also covers the magnet and basket which is great cause my door panels get wet on the inside when it...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

What about the coaxs you sent earlier in the post? I took a look at them and they peaked my interest with that super low FS. But they don't have integrated crossovers for the tweeters? How would I make a crossover for the tweeter?

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

Well the previous owner replaced the door speakers and ditched the tweeter all together so its now empty. I saw a guy fit Infinity Primus in that tweeter location flush mounted and they have a 1.6 inch frame diameter. I might be able to get a small framed 2 inch speaker on there. It's made out...

Yea 250hz is pretty wishful thinking. I was more thinking how portable Bluetooth speakers get decent mid bass but I always forget most of them are super specialized for the tiny enclosure they are in and usually use PRs So that's would be a no then for using the mid-range?

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

Sorry for reviving this dead thread, but I've got a new question: What if I went with a coaxial driver in the door and then in the factory tweeter location a small like 2 inch mid high passed at like 250hz and have it roll-off naturally into the highs? The tweeter location is much more on axis...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

Well I use a nice Kenwood deck that has 13 band EQ, Time and Phase Alignment as well as all kinds of other goodies. Is there anyway to use that to make it all come together? Fade up to the front and time align the midwoofers to match up? I'm going for a more surround feel anyways probably...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

Wouldn't that move all the directional sound down super low? Also Iike I said the a pillar speakers are right by my ears like right by them. Normally I would agree on the no rear fill but I think it makes the most sense here. The door speakers are like 2 feet away and not pointed anywhere near...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

I don't see how splitting frequencies to respective speakers that they are built to be played it confusing. I'm not trying to get some crazy output from 6x4 speakers I am well aware if how power handling works. The 6x4 speakers are literally right next to my head. They are the speakers that I...

WOOFER PLACEMENT IN 3 WAY SYSTEM

I have used NVX in the past and I love them. However those 6.5s will not fit. The only ones that fit fit are the small diameter basket "big name" speakers that will fit. Crutchfield shows my cutout is 5.1 which is tiny and not ideal and I'm not planning on making them larger I'm trying to get...
