You think that's fine? I disagree. They should charge for labor, not for the part plus $70. That's a 35% mark up.. This is just a local business, not a huge corporation. My town is only about 900. I know everyone that works there on a personal level. I still think it's overcharged.

Well I just found the exact same part for 199.99 at both autozone and advanced auto parts. Those are the only 2 auto parts stores within 40 miles of me.

It was $269.99 for the part and $82.50 for the labor.

It was the fuel pump. It cost $372.06 to fix. wtf Is that right?

Alright thanks. The local mechanic is going to look at it monday. I've told him everything that has been said here. Hopefully it isn't expensive.

All I did to test the spark was take off the cover for spark plug # 6, I believe, and stick a screwdriver in there and laid it across something that was grounded. I believe the RPMs sat at 0. Can remember that well.

The spark plugs were getting spark but I don't think enough. They sparked like every 1.5 seconds when i was cracking it over. I think it should spark faster than that. I just towed it up to the local car mechanic and I'm going to see what he says. But he said it'd probably be Monday before he...

Alright, I'll check that out tomorrow. I'm making a list of possible problems. Other things I have written down to check is: Fuel, air filter, compression, spark plugs, and crankshaft position sensor.
