Welp, ordered my recone kit and did some prep on the sub still need to finish the spider landing. This will be my first recone. Used some cheap sound deadner to cover the coil gap, it pulls off clean. 

That makes sense. What is the point of running at 4ohm at all? Also, so any amount of clip hurts the sub? I thought that a soft clip was typically how people set their gains.

That makes sense, I knew I COULD do it that way, but thought I shouldn't given I do not have the proper electrical. So if I understand this correctly, at 4ohm it pushes the amp hard but with less power and at 1ohm it wouldn't push the amp as hard? Also, something that has never been clarified...

I never audibly heard clipping, nor did anyone else. That's not to say it DIDN'T, but the coil appears to be perfectly fine. I mainly play music in the 20s, it makes sense to me that I caused a mechanical death through over excursion. 

@shredder2, @THATpurpleKUSH, @PPVtahoe11, @MattinMO What ya'll think? Was I pushing her a little too hard? I "may"  :laugh:  have played some clean boosted stuff (djsnt, etc. ) Oops. It appears to me, the main issue was the blown tinsel, although I apparently f'd my spider while I was at it...

Sub stopped working while playing, a couple days ago. Just today had time to finger out what was the deal. Blew out a tinsel apparently. Did I do this? If so, What did I do that would have caused this?  :help: :thankyou:

Yeah, they are pretty f'in cool. Haven't got to hear them yet, but with an Fs of 27hz a 28hz tune should be awesome. I wanted something different, that not a ton of people have. Tired of all the cookie cutter.

How's it going guys, I have a SCV-7500D that I'm going to try running at .5ohm (once my electrical upgrades are finished.) I am going to be buying 2 RF T3 19s (after I get a 3rd gen Tahoe) and I'm curious if anyone has any experience with them and if you think the 7500d will be too much for...
