Does rear speakers improves driver audio experience?

I like only a front stage but like many things in the Audio world, it’s purely subjective. It really comes down to what YOU like.

    Alternator

A 3k full bridge can easily draw 150 ish amps playing music and nearly double playing test tones. 110 amp stock alternator is probably only doing 30 amps. Heck the stock alternator in my 87 mustang does like 15 amps at idle lol. You mostly have a combination of not enough amperage and rise...

    Sundown Uv2 12s

Any decent amp rated at 3k-6k rms at the ohm load you are wiring will do just fine. Keep in mind guys will recommend amps much larger due to rise. A 3k at 1 ohm in the real world won’t do 3k. Amps like the taramps smart series will do close to if not rated power as they make the same power at...

    I had this crazy Idea

I have an 87 hatch LX. Always wanted a notch but settled for a hatch just for this reason, I can fit bigger subs 🤣. The good things about round ports is you can try anything and easily change it. Only way to know if it will work is by trying it.

    My new sweet thang...

That thing is sweet! Picking up a new toy tomorrow, 1987 mustang LX that is built. Trying to figure out if I wanna do a system or not yet 😬

    FT1 replacement

https://www.down4soundshop.com/XS-ST1-4/ That crescendo tweeter is a very popular rebadged offering. So the good news it’s easy to find something similar.

    Raw Driver Recommendations

Which is why when it comes to speakers, subs, and tweeters with how they sound, the best way to go is by trial and error. This can get expensive but it’s the only way to truly know.

    Raw Driver Recommendations

Seas midbass would be my choice on that list. For the tweeter the seas prestige is a nice budget option but I prefer the LPG 26NA aluminum domes. Like always sound is purely subjective so keep that in mind.

Looking for a new SQL driver

Xmax is only part of the puzzle, there is more to it for making a great sub. Bottoming that sucker out will take a lot of work. There are so many subs now poorly designed that it’s very easy to do. With the power handling that sub has you can plug it in the wall no problem 🤣

Looking for a new SQL driver

That is mechanical movement, not linear. The mathematical calculation is the best way, that is the coil still in the gap (some may add 10-15%). Mechanical movement is when it comes to damage (coil hitting the backplate). Many use this spec along with peak to peak to make a sub appear to have a...

Looking for a new SQL driver

The peerless sub has a winding width of 2.25”. Not accounting for top plate thickness, that’s 28.5mm of xmax mathematically calculated, with top plate thickness accounted for its probably around 20mm realistically mathematically.
