well with me, the speakers keep playing (they arent hooked up to my amp), and its just the bass that completely cuts out for a lil while.

hey, i have a 12" MTX 5500 sub - 300wrms and a MTX Thunder 600xd amp it keeps cutting in and out when i crank up the radio the little red light on the amp is staying on (for the most part....it will flicker once or twice after it cuts off) im not SURE but i believe the guys at the audio shop...

i didnt install it. i went in the audio store and told the guy i wanted a 12" sub in a custom built enclosure for a camaro. he picked out what i could afford, and installed it all. he told me it sounded good and was fine. when i got in the car after he installed it all it smelled the same...

hey, just had my MTX 12" 5500 sub and my MTX 600xd amp installed in my 97 camaro. its in a custom carpeted sealed box that fits JUST right in the back of my car. when i start slammin i can smell the system. kinda hard to describe the smell, but ik for a fact its not smoking or anything. im...

and the guy @ the shop said that it would cost $100 for a ported box (he's building me the sealed for free), which is understandable b/c it takes an additional hour, and another sheet of wood. i told him to build a sealed, b/c im broke now that ive paid for the subs, amp, wiring etc etc. but...

yeh im sure the MTX 600xd wont blow my backglass but i will remember that when i upgrade.

im sure it will be loud, but ik it will be louder if its ported. i would, but ive already paid the deposit, and i JUST moved here (scottsdale, AZ) so all my table saws, radial saws, jig saws, etc etc is in storage until i move into my actual house (im just in an apt. temporarily). and at least...

i despise factory speakers. except in my friends mustang....he's got a 8" sub in each door panel and it actually sounds extremely well (but, this is a new mustang, and im pretty sure he requested it...).
