The 'blown' sub had nothing to do with break in. I've ran W7's in the past and had them cranked within minutes of screwing them in. I'd bet the speaker was either defective right from the factory or possibly damaged before or during the install.

I'd take the W7 over any subs mentioned in the replies any day of the week. My substage cost double what the OP payed. But it's loud as **** and sounds perfect!

Yeah something is wrong. That amp and sub/box combo should produce more bass than you know what to do with.

I've always used the PL200 construction adhesive from Home Depot. About $3 for a tube and it works great. Can't stand the smell of silicone, absolutely awfull stuff to work with!

1500 w, ported box, in a car trunk..? I think the SSD are a bit cheaper, but can anybody help me with a comparison of each? Is either 'better' in terms of quality, SQ, output, etc etc?
