I had a 3522 back in the mid 80s. Was a very nice little amp. It did more than rated and was pushed quite a bit without any issues. Solid amp.

Check out the Morel's Tempo Ultra 692 MKII component speakers. They are not cheap, but well worth the money. Can find them at Crutchfield. Which ever ones you choose, make sure to do a good job sound deadening the doors. That’s more important than choosing the speakers.

Definitely, my amp throws 150 watts RMS and my Morel Tempo Ultra 602 components are just loving it. The Morels are rated at 120 watts RMS.

I’m looking at a couple of Kenwood headunits: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X304 Kenwood KDC-BY782HD Both are 5 volt units and fairly affordable.

I would have thought the internals would be of a higher quality on the Power line. Is this not so?

I have heard a lot of good things about the Crescendo Audio Symphony S4 4-channel amp. But, compared to the other recommendations you’ve received, I think this amp is considerably less expensive than the others you’ve received. It does crank out 140 watts RMS and is a Class D which will help...

The Wendy would probably be an excellent amp, but it is a Class AB amp and will get hotter than a Class D amp and under the seat in the hot summer Arkansas days. I would think a Class D amp would have to be the best choice. I love my US Acoustics Lanna, but for you I would recommend the Orion...

I had an Alpine amp that I got in the mid-80s (can’t remember the model number) and ran perfectly until I gave it away in the early 2010s. Can’t get more reliable than that. Surprisingly, I think this is the first Alpine listed in this thread.

You should have no issues with NVX. They are one of those “good bang for the buck” companies.

I’d stick with the Morels and invest the money into improving the sound deadening. You’ll get a bigger improvement in SQ by adding to your deadening than just switching out the speakers. The Morels are a pretty darn good speaker and you would have to spend a pretty penny to get a noticeable...
