Galaxy S7 straight to DSP (no HU)

If I'm not mistaken, a usb DAC (you could add steering wheel controls also with an otg hub) would be ideal here.... you could do everything including charge through one cable. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N930A using Tapatalk

Ported Fiberglass Wheel Well Sub Box

I say go for the 12, use the space you have and try to go for an angled upward position. I have a post on here where someone was discussing to me about fiberglassing a box like your planning and talking about the angle to put it. If I wouldn't have been thinking of going with 3 12s I probably...

    Infinity baffle....

Oh and purchased a 31.5v 7 cell (I'll either be putting 3 or 4 cells in series) BMS unit that'll be keeping the cells safe. I'll wind up soldering tesla style cell level fuses (after I refrigerate the cells in an attempt to reduce any possible heat damage) and solid nickel strips on the bottom...

    Infinity baffle....

I've been doing some reading on infinity baffle boxes and for the most part everyone is building subwoofer boxes. I found a thread where a frequency response was compared between the three types And to say the least the open baffle looks like it would be best. I have 2 sheets of 3/4 birch...

    Infinity baffle....

First off this is something I pretty much threw together as a test unit to see how well the amp would drive the speakers in a box. It's crazy loud but the bass is lacking. I can't find a buyer for these odd sized 6x8s out of a scrap car sitting around and just wanted them to be of use. I'm gonna...

An i thought I had found my perfect amplifier....

Here's one side of its heat rail. It has a channel that looks like if I fill it in with a 2 part thermal epoxy it could make it more efficient... That little bit of metal that connects it with the outer sink is a joke. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

An i thought I had found my perfect amplifier....

I have been a long time us amps fan but after this little bout with an ax2000 I'm beginning to loose brand interest. I'll post some pics on the specifics later, but the reason for me doing a disassembly of the chassis was to see if i could spot anything bad to the eye without diving head first...

    Amplifier repair

What's this? It was under the transistors in the amp. It's a gold plastic strip that has was sandwiched in between thermal compound, wouldn't it be more efficient to bolt it directly to the amplifier? Or is this to decouple it from the metal chassis? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    Amplifier repair

Oh silly me... Btw, it's not like I was actually pushing this amplifier. It was hooked up to 1200rms worth of subs wired to 4 ohms Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    Amplifier repair

I have us amps ax2000 that's been running quite warm..... I mean hot to the touch, but it's never gone into thermal protect. Being a class a/b amp I assumed it was normal. Well the other day I heard the bass line cut out for a second and I pulled over to investigate. The amplifier protect light...

    Royal Excelene Question

Both make a good connection when done right. I've seen wire pull out of lugs when not crimped tight enough. If you've got a hydraulic crimper, go that route, if not, solder. I wouldn't recommend hammer crimping. It'll still get the job done, but that would be my absolute last alternative, just...
