    Illegal Tint? Interior Upgrades?

    Why would I want to paint my interior . . . . . .

Might I ask why you have your wire coming through your port . . . .

    First box build, SWEEEEET!!!

The way I was told is . . . you should do your port separate, then it be the 2nd to last thing you do to your box ( It then the top). The way I did mine, I sealed the outer edges, and then when I put my port wall in, I sealed from inside the box rather than the port. If you did the wood glue...

Enough volume to port, or stay sealed? HELP!

The way I think of it . . . . . if you have a freaking expedition or something, you can do more with your box, right? And if you have a Cavilier, you are limited on space. That is kinda what I meant by the whole tuning thing. Sorry for the confusion

    New system thoughts please help

From what I "hear" from this forum (everyone is contradicting themselves around here), somehow your box size can allow you more rms. That is just what I have seen on the forum. Just trying to share info, and I don't guarentee that the info I just gave you is right.

    Illegal Tint? Interior Upgrades?

True, I have been to Memphis, and it is pretty screwed up. I just don't want to take a risk on getting pulled over. I can't afford a ticket . . . . . because, well, I am poor. Anyone got any ideas for the interior? Black Malibu LS

    Mt 18"

Welp, obviously, I am wrong, and people contradict theirselves around here . . . I was just stating what I have researched THROUGH THIS FORUM BY READING! I am not putting down this forum, because it is a great place to get information, but I have seen what I posted earlier in this thread...

Enough volume to port, or stay sealed? HELP!

I dunno, that is just what everyone told me . . . . LoL. Obviously people contradict theirselves around here. I was told that the bigger sized sub (Inch Wise) was meant more for deeper bass, but when I shared their knowledge, I was "crushed" and told that I was wrong x2. I was also told that...

WOW! What do you think of this deal?

Honestly, if he sells it at the right place, he won't have to worry about someone tracking this . . . . that would be my outlook on it. Not very many people are that smart to track something like this down anyways. LoL. They should be though . .. . . . What is this world coming to?

    New system thoughts please help

I would stick with the old system. If you want spl, I am sure you could do something ampwise or boxwise that would achieve that. That way you could have the best of both worlds!

    Infinity BassLink

I would have to recommend looking on eBay. They have great stuff, if you know who you are purchasing from. Look at the feedback on the people you plan on purchasing from, and make sure they have sold car audio before (that should be a given, but . . . . ).

    Ebay Subs

Go with the 12" 1242's. That is what I have, and they are awesome. Just make sure a good amp is in your budget. I have got a Lanzar Vibe268, and it is pretty good, but from what I hear, a Viper 1200.1D or and Orion 1200 is a little better. But hey, sometimes, it isn't just the name.

Enough volume to port, or stay sealed? HELP!

Dude, don't screw up your sealed box . . . MDF 3/4" wood is 19.88 a sheet at Home Depot. Just build another box. Another thing, make sure it is tuned to A.) Your car and B.) Your subs. This is very important if you want it just right. See which one you like best, so if you don't like the...

I thought they would do better ported. I was going to try the sealed if it was worth my while. So your saying to turn it up to the volume I want to be my "max bass" pursay, then adjust everything from there? That almost makes no sense. I would think max volume is . . . . well. . . . . max...

    sub blown

It sounds to me that you just got a "lemon" sub. It might just be worth your while to just purchase a new one . . . . That is probably what I would do instead of going through all that hassle.
