    6.5" speaker location, '06 BMW M5

Hi all, I'm embarking on an audio build on this vehicle, SQ is my primary purpose. This vehicle features 4" speakers in both sets of doors and the rear deck, as well as tweeters in the front doors and rear deck, then 8" factory subs under each front seat. While doing some research I found an...

    Mobridge DA1 Alternative?

Hey folks, I'm getting ready to start upgrading and doing a complete audio build on an '06 BMW M5. I'll be using the existing factory head unit as this is one of those cars where you really can't swap that out. Here's what I understand, feel free to correct me where/if I'm wrong: The factory...

Alternator Whine - nothing is working!

The whine is coming from all speakers, except the sub.  There are 3-way components up front and 6x9's on the rear deck.  When I unplug the rca's from the sub amp the noise stops. Alternator Whine - nothing is working!

I'll also add, I'm super bitter, angry, and f-ing pissed off at the whole damn thing.  I've tried all the common fixes, I've done all the things as they should be done, and it's not working.  I really hate to bring it to a local installer and be that guy who f's up his own install and then says...

Alternator Whine - nothing is working!

I sincerely apologize for probably the eleventy-millionth thread here about alternator whine.  I read many other threads, including the sticky at the top.  Quite a few others posted that they have incurable alternator whine, but after 2-3 posts the OP never responds and there's no answers...

    Help with speaker noise

I'm starting to wonder if it's a problem with the Infinity Kappa amps.  I'm about to start a thread on it, but the short version I've done everything one can do and still have horrible alternator whine.  This is in a system in my son's car with a Kappa mono sub amp and an Infinity Ref 4-channel...

    Removing Sound Deadening Material

I'm going to be working on a big install on what will soon be a "collector" quality vehicle that may someday end up going back to stock if I ever get tempted to sell it.  ('99 E36 M3 with 31k miles, in showroom condition)  I'm going for sound quality, not a competition level vehicle, and I won't...
