    A (probably dumb) question

Anyone care to guess how much clearance I need at the back of this 12? It is pretty close to 3 sides, and I was going to add a support on the 4th side. I probably have a little over an eighth inch right now. I was planning to run it sealed @500 watts, because it seems too shallow and long to...

    Recommendations for truck sub

My box is 3.25" top and 8" bottom. Seat has to be removed to install box. I recessed the woofer baffle .75", but I think I'm going to have to go another .375" (essentially flush mounted) and thin a portion of the back wall. That is with a shallow mount 12" at 3.75" depth with a 6" magnet. I...

    Recommendations for truck sub

I installed the amp yesterday, and now have 300 rms into a fosgate P2 in a sealed box. I found the sub and box in a dumpster and reglued the surround and a few screws in the box and it is pretty impressive. I'm hoping 500 into a ported box will be noticeably louder.

Sub and port location in 5' truck box

My original port location comes out at 15 sq inch, but being a trapazoid, I have no idea how to correct the length. My other option would be to cut a 6"x6" notch out of the lower left corner for a 4" aeroport. I'm not even sure if there is enough room for a port there, especially if it is...

Sub and port location in 5' truck box

I was planning to use the top of the wedge box for the port, so would a 2x4ish port be considered a slot? I'm only planning 500 rms, so I would think that is not a lot of power.

Sub and port location in 5' truck box

Hopefully I can figure out this winISD and find a port size. Thanks

Sub and port location in 5' truck box

Is there any other reason to not have the sub at one end of the box? I'd really like to keep the sub where it is and maybe move the port. Of course I have to figure out the port size first.

Sub and port location in 5' truck box

I have my overall box laid out, but I need to decide where to put the sub. I was planning to put the sub at one end, but it would be right next to the start of the port. Should I move the sub so it is more centered, or does it really matter? Thanks

    Recommendations for truck sub

There is a boat load more space behind a single cab. I'm looking at 3.25" deep at the top and 8" at the bottom, and that is the box touching the seat back. I'm thinking about setting a section back 1.5" for the woofer, and have the rest of the box touching the seat. I guess I'm going to...

    Recommendations for truck sub

Looking at the kicker rt12, and it seems like a good fit. What is the easiest to use box calculator out there?

    Recommendations for truck sub

I feel like two 8's or a 10 are my only easy options, and I could gain depth by going 8's.

    Recommendations for truck sub

I have a 2007 F-250 crew that I am planning a box behind the back seat. Will be running a GM-D8701 (500@2 ohm, 800@1ohm). I can do an easy box 3' long at 1.3cf, or I can bump it up to 2cf with significant effort. These volumes are internal without accounting for anything. At these dimensions...
