Amp in protection mode.. Checked everything obvious

I got to work this morning and turned my engine off, then quickly turned just the accessory power on to continue listening to the radio. I thought I heard several "POP"s and smelled something burning. Turns out something happened on the Sub channel, as my "front" channel is working just fine...

    Why isnt my system loud?

I think your issue is your box. Tuning unknown is sort of a bad thing hahah it means that only by some miracle that box works well with your specific subwoofer.

HELP! I can't find the right screws

Yeah, all you have to worry about is that the head of the screw is big enough to catch the edges of the holes on the sub.

HELP! I can't find the right screws

1.25" is plenty. The reason it wouldn't turn is because your pre-drill hole was not big enough. I simply use drywall screws, and the smooth part doesn't matter, especially if you're using it on the basket. I think you're really over thinking this haha.

Can a system be installed into an Escape Hybrid?

I don't know how the escape hybrid works, but I am assuming it has some sort of main generator Nimh or Lipo battery. However I believe the lights ignition radio etc. run off of a standard 12v "car" battery. How big that battery is I have no idea, so you may have to upgrade your systems battery.

    IA Lethal Injection

Anyone who has ran this sub could chime in here. Just curious what some of you have done with it. Like what enclosures have worked well, how much power you have given it or anything else. I'm running the 15" on a Diamond audio D3 1000.1 @ 1ohm. I'm very happy with it, excellent sounding sub...

    OMG please help me out

The hifonics does not do rated power. A good speaker can generally handle more than rated power as long as the signal is clean. That is what you're going to have to worry about, having a clean signal. If you try and push the amp to hard it is going to start clipping and you could damage/ruin...

So I am new to this..

So right now all you want is a: Headunit Subwoofer sub stage amp Correct? So, 800$ is too much. What do you want to spend, no one can really help you unless they know how much you want to spend. The Diamond Audio 1000.1 and the AQ 1200d would be great amps that can do 1000w + and are both...

    Good free air midbass drivers

All I want to do right now in my car is simply use my MDF baffle mounted to the metal frame with a foam barrier in between the MDF and frame. Are there any midbass drivers that sound good in this situation? Or will I really have to build some fiberglass enclosures. Amp is a ZAPCO AG 150, so...

    Lowes...

Yeah it does, however 1/2" and angles in the cut is far from saying not accurate lol! Basically the saw blade has big teeth and the employees could give a fu ck about your material so they are generally around 1/8" off. Sorry, I wasn't saying it was a bad idea just saying you will need some...

Attempting to install a sound system for the 1st time!!!

The remote wire is the wire that sends a low current 12v signal to tell your amp to turn on, so the amp is only on when the car/HU are on. Any aftermarket HU you want to buy should have this, the color will depend on the HU. All you do is strip the wire on the harness and twist on your lead...

    Lowes...

Shouldn't ever be more than 1/8th off :/... sorry.   ---------- Post added at 03:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:57 PM ----------   Add money for clamps, saw horses and 2x4s. Would be about 100$ to get a setup to do it yourself. However yes you could attain PERFECT cuts.

Attempting to install a sound system for the 1st time!!!

Also, buying local and cheap/fair priced is an oxymoron in the car audio world.
