    How to design my box

I saw someone cover the baffle face on a dual clamshell wall with a crazy disco ball Formica a long time ago. That thing looked like a rolling party sitting still. 8 12s in a small Hyundai was insane in 1997.

    Need a box design

Welcome back bud, I just read the other thread about your situation. I'm glad your feeling better. If Op would reach out by Pm I may be able to help I don't design much anymore but I still play around...

    Soundqubed hdc4 port help

Here is what I'm talking about by a little more volume... the velocities are real close to 30 m/s... that's a lot of power... 7K amp... look at the port area I used That port area is close ... one HUGE box too...

    Soundqubed hdc4 port help

It's gonna make the port longer... over 40" is sketchy they say... can you find any more space?.. to keep the length down more volume would help... just a little... say 15" height and 20.875" depth?... I found one that comes close... it's not an easy combo... that's a lot of power... 31hz tuning

    Soundqubed hdc4 port help

If you're gonna power those to the max... say 4000+... this is port velocity at 4000 watts modeled in Winisd... close to 30 m/s is where it should be... this is in the current box you've come up with... 76 in2 of port area... lemme know if you want me to find the optimum port area... for 4000...

Help with enclosure for two 18" Incriminators

Yep... I added some bracing too (dowels) and driver displacement... 17" long... remember to add 1/2 flare radius to the length on each end

Help with enclosure for two 18" Incriminators

Go for it... it's a 32hz tune at 17"long with those 8'' aeros... and it'll be good up to around 3500 watts actual... perfect for that 4K amp

Help with enclosure for two 18" Incriminators

2-8" aeros 17" long looks perfect btw... and that'll be enough for that 4K amp... leave at least 3.5" clearance behind those aeros... there's a formula for figuring it... I forgot the exact number tho... minimum 2.125" clearance... it might lower tuning though... that'll almost match your port...

Help with enclosure for two 18" Incriminators

First off those subs look a LOT better modeled up in a 15ft3 net box... but since that's the space you've got... I'm not sure why you want a low power box... it's gonna be a monster to build... I bet if you build one for that 4K amp (around 3200 actual btw)... the larger port won't matter a bit...

Help with enclosure for two 18" Incriminators

That's not a very big amp for those... will you go bigger eventually?.. the port size will be dependent on power
