I started here way back in 2004. I'll be 29 this year. I used to be heavy into the car audio then it dropped off for a few years due to different things. But I am starting to get back into it more and more now.
It's extremely addicting. I'm trying to get my girlfriend into it more as well...
Yea that's true. I'm going to research the subs more to see what will be right. I'll see what the recommendations are for a sealed box for FI Q's. The prefab boxes that can be bought for my truck are .65 cubic feet. So with fiberglass I will gain more air space. Then more if I raise the seats...
The air space may be tight but I can feed a little extra power if that's the case. But if I raise the seats a couple of inches I can have the airspace needed.

I like the idea of a single sub. But I wouldn't settle for anything less than a single 15. But I went out and took a look at the truck and under the seats. I think there are too many angles and all that to make a decent vent. So I may be forced to settle for two sealed 12's. I'm ok with it...
I have looked at shallow mounts. I am not too impressed. They just don't do what I want. I have been looking at two FI Audio Q Series 12's. Possibly 15's if I can make it work.
However, I have found a way to raise my rear seat up a few inches. So if I can make 2 15's work sealed, I will. But I...
I had thought about that. But I would like to stick with something that goes under the rear seats. I use the console alot in my truck.
I have been researching doing some fiberglass work. I have never done it but I dont see it being too hard. I would make an MDF or HDF frame around the base of...
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4 door. It has the storage under the rear seats with the metal racks that cover it. I have been trying to figure out what kind of enclosure would work best for 2 12's. I am not sure what subwoofers I am looking to put in it. I had thoughts of maybe RE or FI audio...
I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI 4 door. I am looking to replace my door speakers in my truck since two of the four are blown. I have been out of the car audio game for a long time so I dont know whats good anymore.
The front doors are 6x9s
The rear doors are 5.25s
I dont want to spend more...
Wow it's been so long since I have been on this forum. Lol. But anyways.
I have an 03 Ram 1500 4 door and I want to replace the door speakers. I have done a search about speakers in this truck and didn't turn up much. The front speakers are 6x9s and the rear are 5 1/4s.
I have a JL Audio e4300...
I haven't been on here in a really long time. But I am trying to find out what navigation software I need for my older alpine flip out head unit. Model IVA D310. Everywhere I have read is saying blackbird. But can any MAV system work with it?
I have the xm5547r. I have everything wired correctly. The amp was working but is now going into protection. Any ideas on what it could be. I am running everything from scratch again just to eliminate any issues with wiring.
I have the Alpine IVA D310 DVD Player. I would like to upload my own background to it, but I have to change it to a .APN format. Does anyone know how to do this?
I am trying to find the data download for it. But alpine does not seem to have it on their website. Would anyone here happen to know where I could get it?
