directly to the battery,... well, depends, i had 8g wire from the box u said, but when I got my 4g wire I had it connected directly to the battery

ok, ima try and walk u throgh it... start off at the middle of the firewall, now start moving to the right and look for a black rubber cover about 5 or 6 inches from where you started, its gotta be in a clear area of the firewall... you cant miss it. (id post a pic, but i dont have a digicam)...

what model jetta is it? if its a A4 its right there, you cant miss it. look for any rubber washer and remove it.

ohh forgot to mention they make amps and speakers too. i still have a set of comps and a 50x2rms amp. really solid amp, the thing weights more than most amps with the same or more power.

i had a db12 with 400rms on a sealed box. it was really nice. i kinda miss it, then again i sold it to a friend and i still hear it quite often. it gets real low and has nice sq. i never ported it though, wish i had. the company is from the texas valley area. i also got mine from d-tronics.

what is missing is probably white noise u get from coaxials... (im not so sure about the term "white noise"... but i cant find anything else to explain what im thinking) or maybe what ur missing is a bit of distortion... if the sound is clear that means its working. i guess ull get used to it.

what kind of car do u have? that would help a bit... oh and i guess if u plan on gettin 8s and 12s u should look into getting an electronic xover so they dont play the same frequencies

if ur speakers are not hooked up to ur hu they are not gonna draw any power from it... so the 50w (more like 17rms) is not being produced... call it lost if you may

its a replacement for the HC... its 1000w rms dual 2ohm voice coils so its an excelent pair for your amp... actually im gettin that same combo soon... very soon
