So I weighed them around and that didn't work. I'm think I might have to splice 3 wires together. What you said really seems like its the problem so I'm confused as to why its not working still.

They r connected to the deck but I have a factory amp under the back seat. That might be what I did by accident. Thanks I'll switch the wires and see what happens.

My deck is a Kenwood KDC-X494 connected to 2 12" Kicker Comp's powered by a 1ch 800 watt Soundstream amp. The interior speakers are stock.

Just installed my system into my newly purchased 1997 Jeep Cherokee and I have a strange problem I could use some help with. The subs I put in are working correctly but the only time my interior speakers work is when the stereo is in tuner mode, otherwise i get no sound from the interior...
