This is my first attempt at a trunk IB set up. I know the equipment is not exactly what I want for an IB set up, it's just the equipment I had collecting dust in the basement. The first thing I will change will be the subs. I may step up to 18"s at that point. Progress is a little on the slow side as I'm mostly limited to the weekends. I'd consider this a budget set up so equipment will reflect that. First I was found a guy who wanted to trade an OEM headunit for an off brand RCD330. I wanted the OEM style. He was wanted to trade as it was draining the battery in his TDI. Just had to do a little wiring change and it has been okay. Headunit install: Next I started working on the initial baffle. Deciding what I had room for and what I could do. I played back and forth with measurements and trimming to get what I needed for clearance. The subs are a pair of 15" Q Power Black Mambas. Nothing special, I just had one laying in the basement new in box and the other lived in an old garage enclosure I was giving like 10 watts. Cutting the baffle: I didn't get any pictures of running the wiring but we all know what 1/0 gauge running through a car looks like. I'm awaiting some distribution blocks, fuse blocks, 4 Gauge wire and 4 gauge to 8 gauge adapters to shop up to finish the wiring side of the build and being able to initial hear the set up. I have a lot to go with bracing and sealing the trunk from that cabin but one step at a time.
