I am using a multimeter to tune my amp to match the sub using a 55hz test tone at 75% max volume. I understand the Ohm's Law calculations for what output reading I need but I'm confused what numbers I should use to calculate with. I have my dual voice coil sub wired in parallel to give me 1Ω but I don't have the number or fully understand how to figure out the impedance for a dual voice coil sub.
My question is using the information below what number should my multimeter read when I adjust the gain for this particular setup. Thank you!
Amp: Pioneer GM-D8701
(1Ω Stable)
Maximum Output
600W (4Ω)
1600W (1Ω)
Nominal Output
800W (1Ω)
500W (2Ω)
300W (4Ω)
Sub: Pioneer TS-D12D2
Maximum Output
2000W
Nominal Output
600W
Nominal Impedance
2Ω DVC
