These are genuine symbilink cables, the connectors are gold and you can see the logo on the cable jacket. Yours appear to be aftermarket. FYI, all of the aftermarket ones I've used do not have a locking interconnect, leaving the connections sloppy and prone to poor connections. That BLT4 sure...

As requested, you can see that the damaged one's leads are torn off. The other one looks and sounds fine, although I believe the connection might be loose and can probably benefit from a repair as well.
