Item(s) for Sale:

2x HT 28

Item(s) Description/Condition:

So here's the story with these. I bought them off another member on here a couple of years ago. Ram them on a soundstream ref 2.370 and they sounded great... I had them installed in a custom fiberglassed A-pillar.

Everything was peaches and cream until I took them out one day only to find that the jackass who built the pillars hot glued them in place. Needless to say, prying them out was pretty difficult...

I managed to get one out with very minimal damage. From what I can tell, the only damage is cosmetic (but it's on the back of the tweeter, so you won't be able to tell when it's mounted... I even hooked it up, and it still plays well.

The other tweeter was working great, except that the leads have come disconnected from the voice coil. If you know how to fix it, great... you just scored the deal of the century (you go you crafty car audio fixer, you! )

Yea those hertz tweeters tend to have shotty leads. Soldering is an easy fix but it needs to be a good solder gun/pencil. Dont want to be dumping stray voltage into sensitive tweeters.

Thanks for the replys... pics are in the original post.

And I am no soldering expert, so I figure my loss is someone else's gain!

Also, love the sub-rims in your sig //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Will entertain trades as well

Im somewhat interested, for the challenge of fixing them. Do you have any pictures of the damaged area in particular? If youre in SoCal I dont mind coming to check them out in person.

As requested, you can see that the damaged one's leads are torn off. The other one looks and sounds fine, although I believe the connection might be loose and can probably benefit from a repair as well.
