    My rainbow install:

You say that because I didn't seal the enclosures? I was under the impression that with midbass it wasn't as crucial to seal your install off as it would be a sub or something of that nature. I was actually surprised how well they sounded... regarding the tweeters-I'll give the heat shrink a...

    My rainbow install:

the fans are some 4 dollar POS's i bought online and they run as long as the car is on. I've only had the fan's installed for a day now but they seem to be making a pretty big difference. Before i would drive home (about 40 minutes) and the amps would be pretty **** hot (this was without the...

    My rainbow install:

yeah...i was kinda an idiot when i cut the holes for the tweeters through the kickpanel. I used the same hole saw as the one I used for the mdf not thinking. I'm thinkin of makin something to fill that in but when you're in the car, you really don't notice it.

Most people seem to recommend a relays to switch the power to the fans but the engineer i worked with used a mosfet (can't remember if it was a P-channel or N-channel but I can post the specific part # if anyone is interested)...

HELP! one tweeter sounds louder than other

I just installed my new rainbows and on the drive home from work today I swear that my passenger side tweeter sounded louder than the driver's side. When I got home I started messing with it-reset everything on the HU to make sure there were no time alignment issues and switched the RCA...

    Mazda6 Non-Bose System

I've got a 3 and the stock non-bose systems don't have external amps. I've got no reason to think that the 6 is any different but i could be wrong. The square box your seeing may be relays or somethign for your airbag system. As far as hooking up your LOC, yes-it would go right behind the...

Pros and cons of bridging components

Just curious about the benefits of bridging my system. I've got a set of rainbow slc components running off a diamond d3-400.4 amp right now. So according to diamond's manual i've got just shy of 60 watts rms running to them. Forgive my ignorance but what exactly will I gain by bridging the...
