i would just set your gains carefully. 1200 would probably not do well with it. but just set your gains properly with a DMM or an oscilliscope, and you should be fine. However, this isn't an SPL sub, and coming from an AQ to this, you maybe disappointed in spl, and if it blows, I am not...

for $200 if you need a shallow sub, find a used SI Mag V4. It will blow the socks off of that P3. do you have to have shallow?

get a different sub. Read around here for awhile and you will find many many many many better options for the money. Budget? SQ or SPL? space available?
