Building new door panels for the Astro for new mids and highs.

Kicker designed the box to be use with it and removing it will change the affect of the box to the subs. The packing makes the box act bigger to the subs. It also has a way to finding itself into the coils and craping things up. I used chicken wire to keep it away from the coil vents.

I don't know the configuration of your meter to breaker box but if it's back to back you should be able to add a small extra panel next to your existing panel. I do them all the time for welders and compressors.

I'll second the Crescendo PWX's. Have 6.5's and 8's they have taken all the abuse I have thrown at them. I also have used the Sound Qubed QP-MR6.5 with good results and for around 55 a pair.

I not crazy about the aluminum but the have worked without any problems for a few years now. I also bought the copper and a nickel plated copper which I feel will protect the copper from any corrosion or any other reaction to the aluminum to copper. All of them have worked good without any problems.
