So basically you say the tinsel lead came loose? So just fix it. I would take it apart and fix it, super easy to do. You had them in your trunk, you powered them with a amp, lead came loose. I know ID started to use V4 cones on V3 baskets when stock ran low and they were making the...

Personally I would just remove the cone as above in the video. fix the tinsel and then rebolt back down. easy 30 minutes job if not faster. would need a few shims also. local shop might have some..

BTW: On IDAMX & IDQ subs you simply do a drop in recone either D4 or D2 your choice.

Looks like someone abused their subs. I have never EVER seen a IDMAX blow or have a tinsel lead issue. TBH It looks like Clipping.
