    Audiofrog gb12 box modifications

It would sound the same assuming everything was done correctly. If I went ported I’d tune it around 38 hz since the trunks I’ve always had really boost the lowest frequencies. If you could fit a single 4 inch aero port facing the back like the sub that would work well. I would personally go...

    Sub placement question

I’ve always had the best luck with port and subs on same side of box facing the rear. You might need grills or something to cover subs if you still want to throw stuff in and around the box. 4th order Bandpass with single port firing directly into corner works extremely well and subs are...

Is this possible, 4 channel amp for car speakers and sub?

You can keep it relatively simple and get a 5 channel amp. Amp all door speakers and 5th channel for the sub. Purchase or make a sub box do not mess with factory box..I know it’s tempting. Do not worry about time alignment or EQ for a while.

BMW 3 Series Under Seat Mid-Bass

    1. 0-200 hz not very directional would do fine under seats as they are. 2. Crossovers points...0-250 mid bass .....250-4500hz midrange.....4500-20,000 tweeter...slopes 6-12 dbs depending. These are very general. Good passives...

Ground Zero GZPA 1.4000DXII - Any good?

I have one running two of Ground Zero GZNW 15x's. It has been great I have the subs wired down to .5 ohm and the amp never strains or gets hot. I have good electrical which helps. It is a great amp you will not be disappointed they do more than their rated power and are built well. Their subs...

Anyone have real experience with RE subs over the last 5 or 6 years?

RE was a big deal around 2003 when they were small. I know that they have gotten big etc other than that do their subs sound worse than they used to or more issues? Just curious what everyone's opinion or experience with RE's newer subs has been. Maybe they were just a forum boner and when the...

    3.5 Cubic feet is good?

Yeah I did a quick model of the 15 in winisd. I did a box for a 10 inch type R for a friend and it modeled pretty much the exact same and it sounded in his truck about how it modeled. That is why I felt pretty certain that 3-3.5 would be about the perfect size.

    3.5 Cubic feet is good?

I would build it 3.5 tuned to 30hz, it looks like you will have a 3db gain at 35 hz and it will be flat at 30hz and at 40hz so a small little hump. If you go up to 4.5 at 30 hz you get about a 4db gain at 33 hz and a 2 db gain at 30hz and flat from 40hz on up. So for the extra cubic foot you...

    Image Dynamics ID10d2s or Sundown Sd-2 8s

The ID's sounds very good and do well in small boxes like the one you are going to use. They have a large amount of xmax and can reach it with very low wattage which is a good thing.

    SSA battery terminals

It might eventually but will probably be good for a while. Checking the cables and their security is something I try to do every month or so. If you guys are like me I am always changing things and screwing around with it lol.

    SSA battery terminals

Well hopefully people would realize that I was not finished but you never know and of course I understand why cables and terminals and fuses need to be covered and secured. As far as the cable color I was going to use different colored looms since once the cables are covered you no longer can...

    SSA battery terminals

It depends on your car of course but try to find a location that is somewhat solid and does not get too hot. Make sure you plan ahead and have enough cable slack and cable flex to get them where you want. You could take a mdf board and spray it with bedliner and find a place to secure the board...

    SSA battery terminals

I was trying to show the terminals before I had them and all the cables loomed lol. I am aware that it all should be secured and loomed and away from moving parts, my hood was open in the pic should I close it. The post was to show that these were a good affordable option for those interested...
