yes sir, by end of install will have RF T1500.1 BDCP so a 1500/2000 rms SQ sub, wouldn't mind Skar RP 2000.1 but, my opinion it can't reproduce like RF power series so yeah upgrade 2k for sub

99 Astro van Wan to know if this (Alpine 175 BT) a decent head unit? I'm looking for a SQ sub. I got a Kicker IX 1000.1 about equivalent to RF Punch series, "my opinion" nice amp to start with, which sub should i go with, looking for SQ. I haven't heard to many subs, will be upgrading...

so what if i didnt use a jumper wire or configure it and just dropped it in box as a 2 ohm sub what will amp read

amp is 1000 @ 2ohms its a 2 ohm sub DVC so what would amp read if i didnt configure sub just wired it left right

if its a 2 ohm sub why not just leave it at 2 ohm is what im asking

i got a 1000 watt amp 2 ohm sub i want all the wattage to go to this sub but researching a 2 ohm can only be wired to 4 or 1. could i just put the sub in as it self 2 ohm and get what i need without damaging anything

it's a wrap checked the wiring had some 8 gauge lying around, wired it and that is when i seen smoke, i had mix match subs and i know i shouldn't have done that, seen small sparks was like o! ok life when plugging into back of box but nothing it's a wrap will have to send it in rockford 1500.1 bdcp

no dont do it, i just found out the hard way you are going to fry the output section where you plug wires into

smoke coming from speaker terminals on amp, amp powers on signal everything but i just need to hear those dreadful words from the gods
