I'm using the Alpine. It tucks nicely inside the console where the factory amp once resided. Works like a champ. I'm running a 400 watt mono amp in the trunk driving a Infinity Reference 12" DVC sub. Together the work well.

Look up Sunfire if you want a home sub that's compact but will rattle the windows. They aren't cheap though.

I'd use RC car tire glue. It's flexible CA. Any hobby store should have it. I'd also lightly abrade the cone with steel wool or scotch brite to make sure you get a good bond. If that glue will hold tires on my 70mph RC car it should be great on a surround repair. Edit: I see you got it fixed!

I like my Bernzomatic. It was 6 bucks at home depot. You need to buy a striker since it doesn't have self ignition.

So I love how this amp performs but I have one small issue. To get the bass output where I want it, I need to turn up the gain until there is a barely audible low hum that I only hear between songs. The odd thing is that if I have no audio signal and I hear the hum, turning on the headlights...

The amp was dead silent.... Until I reached a certain level of gain. I found to get the output I wanted i had to dial in the gain until there was a barely noticeable low hum. The hum is not audible unless there is no music. Oddly enough, when I flip on the headlights the hum goes away...

I really love my Infinity 1262W. I chose it over Polk because it's rated down to 23Hz. Online Car Stereo has great prices on the Infinity. I'm a big Polk fan. My Home system is all Polk. Plenty of people are happy with both Polk and infinity so hard to go wrong with either on a budget...
