    I'll never use Knukonceptz again!!

Hi Nick, I reviewed the emails from our customer service rep, as you explained you had an issue with your RCA cable after you had used it for four months and that the issue arose after the 12 month warranty of the cable had passed. Our rep offered you a return authorization, no questions asked...

    Wire questions

1 - Fuse for the max load the ALT can output OR the max load the cable installed between Batt and ALT can support 2 - Noise through an audio system are usually ground loops. Given that the CB unit is a self contained component and the noise is only present with the car on, its most likely...

To fuse or not to fuse

If your battery wire passes through the cabin of the car/truck, you want to fuse it. If the battery is in the rear, you'll want to fuse it near the battery. If the car is off, the ALT makes no power (its not turning), yet the battery is holding power. You can fuse both ends to cover all aspects...

    where to buy hyperflex?

You might want to learn about what is being discussed before being rude. Your same table is on Wikipedia: American wire gauge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and right at the top.... The table below shows various data including both the resistance of the various wire gauges and the...

    where to buy hyperflex?

Good lord what a read that was....American Wire Gauge(AWG) is based on the AREA of the conductor. There are TWO sets of standards for AWG, one for Stranded and one for Solid cores. I did not look over the chart posted earlier thoroughly, but it seems like it was for solid wire which uses...

KnuKonceptz 4 Gauge wiring Gone from ebay :(

Yeah, its intended use is from amp to sub box. Most customers buying a kit will be mounting the amp on the box so 10' covers that installation.

    Shok Industries 1/0 Wire

Just a FYI the 7' section will fit in a flat rate envelope so you can save a bit on postage to who ever buys it. Just double envelope it if you are worried it may bust. You are allowed 1 piece of tape along the closing flap. 10-12' feet of 0 gauge fits no problem.

    Wire Comparison

Hi Ken, Just a quick note about that table you referenced, the diameters listed are for solid wire standards. Stranded wire must be larger diameter to compensate for the air gaps between each strand. Stranded wire 0 gauge according to AWG should be 9.53mm (or .375") in diameter.

Did I just get ripped off with cadence wire?

From their website: 0G15M - Cadence Sound Store Lots of talk about copper "conduction" and "standing", no mention of aluminum. Seems a bit shady to me...and it reject RF and EMI and helps "Eliminates Noise from the AC Line".......clearly Cadence FTW!

    Wire Comparison

Nice pics, yes the Cadence wire is CCA, your photo clearly shows it. Aluminum on the inside, copper on the outside, that is CCA. From Cadence website and Amazon, these are the "highlights" of their product description *High Purity Oxygen Free Copper Standing *Ultra-Pure Copper Conduction...

    Wire Comparison

Something is definitely up with the Cadence wire, I got my lines crossed at first glance and thought its copper weight was 0.69, so its not as obvious as I originally thought. None the less, its still half the weight of every other quality copper cable on the board.

    Wire Comparison

Wow, very nicely done write up - I am preparing 4 gauge amp kit review of popular entry level kits and your data is impressive. I have to point out one thing though and your data proves - Cadence is not OFC, its CCA. They are lying blatantly to their customers or at the very least, doing...

The InstallBay AK02 from Sonic good wiring kit?

The chart posted is for solid cable, not stranded. Solid 0 gauge has a OD of 8.251mm(.3248") and stranded is ~9.530mm(.3751") roughly 15% difference. In any event gauge is determined by area of the conductor, not diameter because a stranded cable that uses large gauge strands will appear...
