Just to clear some things up... Yes, it has been powered only to assure it was in proper function. Basically a small sine sweep to check for mechanical flaws ( none found obviously) Other than that, no actual music has been played through the woofer. The cone has no significant meaning...

I personally liked my eclipse h/u's as far as sound goes over my pioneer 940mp and my Alpine 7998 and 9855. Eclipses dont need DSP to sound good

I'll vouch for these.....I had to load them in that dumb enclosure Not only are they incredibly rare, they play so low. Definetly one of the best sounding 15's ive heard to date.

It looks very very smililar to the old F1 status tweeters.

Usually its cheaper to buy the raw drivers and make your own crossovers. Most people dont use a passive crossover if they buy the raw drivers though.

ya ya... Im quite aware that the tweeter is not close, no need to tell me something I already knew 8 months ago.

The TC-7 is a better SQ driver but the 1k is well rounded. If given enough power id give the advantage to the TC-7. 550w is more suited towards the 1k though.
