1.8 ohm impedance fine on 2 ohm nominal amps?

Hello,I'm having a hard time figuring out this.
I have 8 speaker connected on my amp, currently a Stetsom ex3000eq 1 ohm.I'm planning to upgrade it to a 3500 2 ohm to get the most out of it.
The speakers are all 4 ohm.I've connected the 4 speakers per side in parallel,so I get almost 1 ohm per 4 woofers.
Then I write the 2 doors in series,to get 1ohm+1ohm=2ohm NOMINAL at the amplifier wires.

The question is,the measured impedance of every woofer is 3.4 ohm,and after the connection I get 1.7-1.8 ohms.
Can I use a brazilian amp rated for minimum 2 ohm loads? Or do i need to get the 1 ohm to get everything working?
I don't want to waste money on a new amp if it will protect/burn itself, because the real impedance measured is lower than the nominal :(

It also lowers the amps efficiency and raises the current draw.
