I did the big 3 upgrade, and i have a 110amp alternator and only 1 battery in my car. I'm going to be running 1900 watts. Well between 1900 and 2100. I really don't want to upgrade the alternator because i'll be getting a new car soon probably around April 2010. Do I need an extra battery? What kind and how would i wire that?

Would i have to run more 0/1 gauge wire to the trunk?

Yea i figured i was going to get a kinetik but which one? HC2000? When it says 2000 watts what does that mean in terms of the battery? That it packs enough power to power 2000 watts for 10 minutes or somethign?

a car audio battery
Kinetic or equiv
x2 something that has a high AmpHr rating. Something that you know will fit in your next vehicle so you can just switch it all out. Oh, and BTW i have the 1750 with a 215amp alt on one YT and big 3 and I never drop below 13.8 @ idle.

Run the positive wire that currently goes into your amp into the rear battery instead, then run a wire off of that battery to your amp. (fuse between your rear batt and amp as well as between the 2 batteries. no isolator is needed. battery wise, kinetik 1800 or 2000. possibly a 2400 but really not needed

good rule of thumb on the kinetiks (unsure of the other batts) is every 100 amps on the kinetik is equivalent to 100 watts of power

Alright thanks, Sounds great. Anyone know the cheaptest place to buy these batteries?

Yep, at the amplifiers. I get the same 14.7 volt reading when they cutoff too.
