I have searche for answers but there are so many variables, I am wondering in a 2005 explorer will 3 10" skars (no bashing here) be louder than 1 18" re MX? I already sold my 18 and bought 2 of the. 10's just hoping I'm not makin a mistake. I thought that 3 10's would have more come area.

(3) x 75sq in = 225

18" is 250sq in.

10's will likely have the motor force advantage though. And usually more coils is a good thing as far as making noise. More power handling as well. Smaller box. Seems like a win-win for the 10's.

I had six of the skar 12s not too long ago on my dc5k, it was loud, but two 18s could have gotten louder in a smaller box than my 6 12s were in.

Well if I don like them maybe I will try 15's. Like I said just experimenting. I know that I can gain valuable information from y'all but some real life experiences also helps.

Maybe that's what I will plan next is 4 15" skar vvx. I figured 4 would handle 2400 watts and 6 would handle 3600 so I thought the 6 10" idea was better. ***** that I have already purchased them or I would jump on the 15" idea now.
