3 DD2512 vs 3 jl audio w6 vs 2 ssa xcon

Im looking to redo my system I have a dodge ram mega cab and the local stereo shop told me I should put 3 jl audio w6's behind my seat, but I dont want to have 1200 just in subs that I have never herd before. And my buddy has 2 2512 in a center console box and they pound on 1800 watts and I like how there sound carries. And on my local craigslist a guy has 2 ssa xcon 10 with the bigger motors on them and I looked them up on youtube and they look like pretty good subs. which set do you think I should go with?

if you can port the dd 2512s they should be the loudest but you shouldnt seal most any dd audio sub, the spiders have a tendency to rip at the voice coil former in sealed boxes. in my experience.

the two xcons brand new will cost lest than the 3 dd or jl.

the xcons do do well in sealed boxes and really come alive in ported boxes but the same can be said about the w6

if you are stuck with a sealed box i would go w6 if money wasnt a issue since they are the best sealed box performer out of this group.

but if money is an issue i might would try and fit the xcons in a ported box behind the seat or run with 3 2510s instead of the 12s

the 2510s work well in small ported boxes i found that 1.3 cubes each ported in the high 30s worked best for me in my truck.

my single 2510 in 1.27cubes tuned to 40hz with a single 4 inch port on 1500w was burping a 148db at 51hz in my single cab truck and the box sounded great for daily

as well.

So what budget are you working within?

Are you leaning more towards SQ or SPL?

With the 7.5-7.7 cubes you have behind the rear seat, unless you need to keep that cargo space, I would prolly go for that before I would a Console set up...

I dont want to spend more than 800 in subs but I can also find those w6 all day on craigslist. and Im not to stereo smart what is the diffrence between sq and spl? and with the the storage space out i can 6 cubic feet so these all could be in a ported box. And im just looking for a daily drive setup that sounds clean and carries far since im in high school.

when sound carries far that just means you are losing sound inside the truck. idk why people want to be heard like this.

my cruze with 2 z12s on 3k was loud as fack on the inside were as the out side was rather quiet.

then again my single cab was loud as hell on the outside till i deadened the **** out of it, which increase my score in the lanes by 6db which is about 3-4 times louder than when it was loud on the outside.

if yoiur worried about shaking the wall of you house dont worry about it being loud on the out side of the car the sound will transfer though the walls alot better than the walls of the truck.

plus its nice to be loud as **** on the inside when a cop rolls up and doesnt say anything then when you want to show off you just roll down the windows

The DDs if u have the space, electrical and power since u wanna be heard coming.

The w6s should be your last choice in this situation. You're looking to get loud and the w6s are not designed for that specifically.
