95 Monte Carlo battery won't hold charge

I'm putting a system in a 95 Monte Carlo and the battery will not maintain charge after running and turning car off. I'm running from the battery to amp then to speakers. My remote wiring is hooked up correctly and still won't maintain charge. Any suggestions?

That's what I was thinking. I also heard that the alternator might be to small. I'm just running a ZX 300.1.

A 300 rms amplifier will have little to no effect on a alternator in 99% of cases. If the car is jump started and remains running it's likely the battery, If its js'd and dies a short time later it the alternator.

im running 1200 rms off my stock 60a amp and i have had no problems
