JVC KS-AX3002 2-channel car amplifier — 65 watts RMS x 2 at Crutchfield.com

My 6x9's are 80 rms and the fronts are like 50 rms i think. Their all 4 ohms.

I'm trying to do this as cheap as humanly possible. I'd be happy to look at other suggestions. This is for a work car so i don't need anything fancy just something that works good.

Would i get good results if i installed bass blockers on the front speakers and just amped the rear 6x9's? I'm a n00b so that why i have all the ?'s.

i see it's hard to get good help these days. thanks anyways...i'll go somewhere else to get my questions answered.

Most people work during the day guy.

I assume your 6x9s and 5 1/4s are all 4 ohms, just wire them parallel, that amp should be able to handle a 2 ohm stereo load.

The reason why people said you should go with a 4 channel is so you can control the front and rear speakers' gain & crossover settings independently to fine-tune the setup.

wow, well I was going to look at those speakers and try and help you but since your being such an impatient prick, you can go **** yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I would go with a little higher quality amp to be honest with you.. and use a 4-ch.. JVC will crap out under heat/pressure.. I've never seen one of their amps have very good longevity..

Running a 2 ch will be a little bit more complicated as well, your fronts are less W than the rears so you will have to turn down the gain's abit to accomedate.. thus the rear speakers will suffer and not perform to their potential..

A 4 ch will allow you to turn down the fronts while keeping the rear up.. but to be honest I would try and match the fronts power with the rear.. other wise you will have more sound coming from the rear than the front.. you want them to blend so you dont hear the lack of sound in the front..

I used to have this problem.. fronts where not as loud as the rear because of power differences and teh rear overpowered the fronts.. 60 RMS x4 should do you fine.. even balance for both sets unless the fronts are some cheap'o's

i apologize i WAS being impatient..i'm sorry. i'm just trying to get an order placed so it'll get here by this weekend....my bad.

Are the 6 x 9's in the back? Head unit power would be sufficent for passengers back there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hell... Run It.. You will be ok @ that Ohm load(2.67). Just dont go below 2ohms and you will be fine. 2ohms is the lowest stability of that...

That makes sense. I took it apart today. It doesn't look too impressive but it should be better than the head unit. I'm going to install something...
