Dayton HO I've always recommended, and the JBL GTi subs are pretty nice as well.

dayton HO are nice sounding but I read the build quality is so so, is it worth it to just pay more for a more expensive brand?

They are made in Taiwan from what my dayton packaging says. The build quality is not the greatest but it is for sure worth its price. Partsexpress has a great no hassle 45 day return policy so I wasn't worried about buying them especially for the price.

i used to have 8" tang bands on a jbl bp1200.1 i used to blast them ALOT and they never gave me trouble. loved the fuck outta them
