Are there any downsides to running a AGM on its own compared to a stock battery?

Im guessing AGM were designed for car audio?

maybe not, im just wondering whether there are any negatives or are they just better in every way?

providing you get an agm with equal cranking amps to the stock battery

Agms are far superior in every way vs a regular wet cell batt...and they are used for many more applications than car audio
