They are essentialy two AP 1500s strapped at 1 ohm. So the output is 3000w @ 2ohms.

silver 1 has protection,lol. they are exactly the same except for the color. i have hook up enough to know this...

They are the same, the black ones are just newer. I have installed both, and yes, they ALL have protection. Neither are recommended for 1 ohm final loads.
