not terribly inefficient, but you can obv. get better for the money.

 
The reason Im looking into one is because I can go .5 or 2hom and 3k is what Im looking for so what else would do the same power BETTER for around the same money?

Running at a 2 ohm load would be a lot easier on your electrical system

 
I agree and I know the ap3000 is 2 1500's strapped so it is 1 and 2 ohm stable. So I would run it at 2 ohm and get all 3kw and the price of brand new is pretty nice as well but you said I could do better for the money and I am guessing you mean the same amount of money so what would be better?
