Hey guys, I need a budget amp that'll do 600rms @ 2ohms. I'm going to be powering a pair of old school 2ohm DVC Alpine Type R's (300rms each, 600rms for a pair). I don't have much room either.

Do you guys think this amp will suffice? I hear AudioPipe is a good budget brand.

I think that amp a little overkill for my needs. I'm already running 4ga wire with a 1 farad cap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

At the moment, I'm pushing the subs with an RF 500s (something I had laying around). It ***** because the amp isn't really made for these subs so I'm only getting ~125w to each sub at 4ohms.

I wanna pound these bastards!!!

yeah its pretty clean too got it hooked at 3 ohm atm to a pair of OS pyramid pro series and it powers them very well subs are rated at 200 each and they are about maxed dust caps are warmish after an hour of beatin

The audiopipe is a great amp, I switched out my crunch gpv2000 and it pounds a whole lot better, and seems to put out more power than the crunch. Both are rated at 1000 watts at 1 ohms. I have two of these and about to strap them to a single 12 for comps and testing purpose.

The audiopipe is a class D compared to the crunch which is a class ab. We just clamped the audiopipe and got 19 amps with 58 volts, not sure what the imp rise was, but the starting ohm load was 1ohm. Voltage started at 13.9 and dropped to 13.2.

So you have this exact same mini amp? Do you think it does rated? I'm scared to cook it because they're super tiny yet output big.

Do you think it will pound my pair of Alpines?

Thanks for the replies...

You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs, and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...

I just bought the stinger 1500. I watched a video on YouTube that there is an issue turning the gain all the way down using the amp, and you have...

The JD does ~800 watts@ 3 Ohms so I assume there would be no noticeable difference.
