battery fuse

when using a fuse from the battery to amp, does it have to be a tube fuse or can it be a huge ass box fuse?

As long as its proper the proper amp fuse, it doesnt matter.

You should use automotive grade fuses only......not the kind you could find in a house or a shop. The resistances and specifications are different.
