I currently have A set of 6x8 Rev Pioneer speakers in my tacoma. They are powered by an alpine f450 amp bridged to 2 channels. They are getting drown out by my alpine type R 12.I would like to upgrade to the Pro 60's and make custom baffles for them. Will my alpine f450 amp be fine for these speakers bridged to two channels, and where is the best place to buy them? Ebay? If so what seller? Thanks, Bridger

Those comps are power hungry but that should be plenty.

Ok thanks. The speakers are 3 Ohms and my Alpine F450 Amp says only to bridge at 4 Ohms so will i have any problems? And where would you buy the pro 60's from? Thanks

I just installed some boston pro 60's with a kicker 550.2 so about the same power you'd see. To me on that power they get downright loud. I'm having to cross mine around 100hz on the bottom end though to allow them to handle that power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I could have done a better job sealing the mids though, and probably will redo that when I get time, hopefully that will help the power handling mechanically to cross them a bit lower.

as say what said...they are power hungry speakers for sure. i have 300w a piece on mine and they've been taking it for as long as ive had them, everyday, maxed out.

i will say this. ive READ that most of the power is lost through the xover. supposedly the speakers are pretty average in efficiency, its just you need all the extra power because of the xover. how true is this? i dont know. but again, supposedly running them active GREATLY reduces the amount of power you need to the speakers.

Massive doesn't provide much technical detail on the CT2, but looking at the response curve suggests an FS of ~1.4khz and the listed frequency...
