set up 2 orion 15.4 wired to 2ohm each in a 7.5 cube 38hz 160alt big3 1/0 1/0 run sec batt 8frd cap
my colossus is 1100x2 @2ohm i was able to get more out of it and yes this amp is underated:up2somet:
71volts and i got 35.5amps per side. 50hz sin wave starting @14.8 sitting at 13.2-13.6v
im not looking for 2 smaller amps but one good amp to run at 1ohms that can feed each sub with 2-2500rms and then when need be able to up the gain and get 3-4000rms no prob. i was looking at the stetsom amps but they are abit costly but they are said to be worth the money. what would be my chocie of amps that can give these orions the power they want? the only reason im not too hot on getting another colossus xxv is they are current hogs and are long as hell so finding the space for 2 of these monsters //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
also keep in mind the colossus is also rated 3200rms@2ohm bridge so running 2 of these will be enough but will the current draw on my elec. system be worth it? thanks for any input on this.
