Can i get away with 600rms@4ohms on 10ga wire?

Just a curiosity question. Im throwing together a little system for my girlfriends car and plan to use a hifonics 2ch for the subs (bridges at 600RMS @ 4 ohms). I'll probably run it more around 500RMS for the sake of strain on the amp and possibly being overrated.

Can i get away with 500-ish RMS on 10ga wire? I got some extra 10ga speaker wire from my project, and an extra fuse holder.

10 gauge no, 8 gauge you are almost pushing the limit of the wire. IMO id do 4ga and do it properly.

oh really that much? I havent done a smaller setup like this in a while hah, i've gotten to used to just using 1/0 out of instinct.

Definately do at least 4 gauge.

In my gf's car we have a 600RMS Kicker KX600.1 amp on KnuKonceptz KLMX wire. Works perfect. You can get the whole amp install kit for like 34 dollars shipped.

i did 8 gauge on 600 rms alpien mrd 605 amp just fine.
