kinda confused.. seems as if the MX is in between the new XXX and the MT (which appears to be same woof?).. ok so what does that mean? if the MT is ultimate in spl, the xxx is super sound quality with high output too, what does that leave for the MX to possibly be? and neo magnet? sooooo... spl sub above the mt.. but prolly not spl only sub soooo... like super SX?...

oh well.. at least im glad theres progress on the new line.

Looking at the specs here...the QTS is HUGE, like big ass sealed or IB huge. Kinda pointless for an in car vented setup. Efficiency is uber low, 83db's...you'd have to feed it REDICULOUS amounts of power for it to get even close to it's Xmax. Making it impracticle for almost all car setups, useless for SPL, and pretty much pointless for 99% of the installs out there.

Which is why it is targeted for the home audio/theater crowd and sealed boxes. Mike himself will tell you it is impractical for most car audio applications and best in sealed boxes.

I just think it's a little idiotic to bash the sub for not being something it wasn't designed or intended to be.

Yeah but I wonder how many people are going to buy a soundspliter sub to use in their homes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Not few....or any. Even then that's grossly inefficient for home audio...even in a corner loaded ported enclosure you'd need like 2000rms+ to drive it to a decent volume, even in a huge enclosure. And who runs home drivers IB? Not many!

RE is the house brand for a buildhouse named Destijl Engineering. They are somewhat similar to Adire, in that selling car audio subwoofers under the name "Resonant Engineering" is not their only line of business.
