Cheap Mids: Orion, American Bass, Power Bass, db Drive

The AudioControl 2XS is now installed @ 4kHz between existing VM mids and PPi tweets. The tweets had no high pass and the mids had no low pass before. This change was pretty substantial in improving the harshness at higher volumes. Still shopping mids and watching the classifieds though.

AB were very harsh and didn't like playing low but screamed above 250hz

Pyle pro will play down to 100 but no lower. Sound very nice and get loud. Don't believe their power ratings though. Tweeters are harsh. Best bang for your buck.

Sq sound exactly the same as the Pyle pros.

Crescendos have awesome midbass and sound warm while getting loud at the same time. Can handle alot of power and get stupid loud.My favorite so far

I ended up getting the SoundQubed QP-MR6.5 speakers and also a miniDSP. Wow.
